Karolyn Kirby


Karolyn Kirby has been on the WPVA tour for all eleven seasons. She is the WPVA's winningest player with 60 event titles, 26 of them with Liz Masakayan. Her second most frequent partner has been Angela Rock. In 1997 she teamed with Nancy Reno. She played in the 1998 FIVB event in Brazil with Liz Masakayan again.

She has been league MVP or Co-MVP four times. She played collegiately at Univerisity of Kentucky and Utah State, and played for the New York Liberties in Major League Volleyball 1986-87. Born June 30, 1961, in Brookline, Mass., she is 5' 11''.

Karolyn Kirby and Liz Masakayan took the gold medal in women's beach volleyball at the 1994 Goodwill Games in St. Petersburg. Karolyn competed in the Olympic trials with Lisa Arce. She and Lisa took second place at the Austin Open in 1996.
